Location: unknown

"It is important for our small businesses to be treated like every other business. And it addresses worker safety when we see a lot of this cash that is around in all these businesses and we want to make sure our workers are safe from many other criminal activity or money laundering that may occur because of it as well.

BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

There are so many Nevada business owners in our state who have opened cannabis businesses to create jobs and support their families, it's legal for them to do so, and yet too many of these businesses can't use critical banking services that all other businesses can access.

BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

When there is an all cash business we're always concerned about the safety of the workers but there's also money laundering concern as well.

BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

Right now, many legitimate businesses in Nevada and across the country are shut out of banking services and they're paying high fees for access or being cut from national banks. It's an all-cash business; they (cannabis businesses) are concerned about their security and how to pay vendors.

BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

This is absolutely outrageous in this day and age that these legitimate businesses where states have made this decision that they cannot bank with financial institutions."
