“President Biden gets it: Our economy runs on child care. But for far too long, the cards have been stacked against child care providers, resulting in high costs for parents, low wages for workers, and impossibly narrow margins for these critical small businesses—predominantly owned by women and women of color. With today’s announcement, President Biden is making new funding available through the Small Business Administration, spreading the word about existing resources, and delivering new tools to help child care businesses get on their feet. The result will be more classrooms for kids, more peace of mind for parents and providers, and a stronger economy for all Americans.”
