I am pro-life. I believe life begins at conception and ends at natural death. I have two daughters, and every parent and grandparent who has seen an ultrasound or a sonogram of their child or grandchild already has an inherent problem with abortion. In the womb is where human life is at its most innocent and vulnerable stage, and I will proudly stand against the destruction of innocent human life unless the life of the mother is in jeopardy.

I support a ban on cloning, as science should not be playing God with human life, each of which is precious and has a purpose. I oppose embryonic stem cell research because adult stem cells are just as useful and available. I also support developing umbilical cord stem cell research which won't harm the life of the child but may help save someone else's life.

I believe marriage between a man and a woman is a time-honored and time-tested institution that is part of the bedrock of our society. Marriage needs to be praised and preserved, not redefined by activist judges whose job is to fairly apply the law and not impose a political agenda from the bench.

Likewise, families need to be praised and preserved as they are under enough pressure these days without being redefined by activist judges and political radicals.
