Rep. Becerra Applauds House-Wide Diversity Initiative

Today Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Administration Committee Chairman Robert A. Brady announced the development of a new, House-wide diversity initiative. The initiative will focus on increasing workforce diversity and opportunities for candidates from all backgrounds at all staff levels in the House of Representatives. Following the announcement, Congressman Xavier Becerra (CA-31), Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, released the following statement:

"I am very pleased with today's announcement. In the House of Representatives, under Speaker Pelosi's determined leadership, we are strengthening our commitment to inclusiveness and providing equal opportunity for all. This initiative will help the People's House better reflect and represent all the people of our great country."
