The Treasurer is responsible for receiving, depositing and investing all state funds. These are your tax dollars being collected and put to work. The office receives more than $100 million in cash payments every day. The interest earned is a major contribution to the state's annual General Fund budget. For the past three decades, I have designed, implemented and managed case management systems. I have been responsible for the short-term investment of cash for many large organizations. Sound business principals and cost effective technologies must be used to optimize earnings and minimize expenses. While serving in the State Finance Department, I worked closely with the Treasurer's Office. I am familiar with its processes and I know my knowledge and experience can add value.
