Montanans need permanent tax relief

Montana agricultural property taxes just skyrocketed, and this tax hike comes at exactly the wrong time. Montana farmers and ranchers are already dealing with a sagging national economy and lower commodity prices. Now Montana agriculture families have to pony up more hard-earned money to pay more taxes. This tax hike not only affects Montana farms and ranches, but local businesses that serve these agricultural families. Additionally, many companies interested in moving to Montana are discouraged from doing so because of our burdensome tax structure. I want to stop punishing Montana families and businesses by providing permanent tax relief to all Montana taxpayers.
