Republican Congressional Candidate Raul Labrador Statement on President Obama's Signing of HR5297 TARP III Today

Statement

Date: Sept. 27, 2010

"The Democrat-controlled Congress is out of control. The spending madness must end. I am against all of these bailouts and despite what my opponent says in his television ad--he voted FOR this bailout," said Republican Congressional candidate Raul Labrador.

Labrador continued, "TARP III raises troubling questions about where Congress thinks constitutional limits exist. TARP III allows the federal government to purchase ownership interests in banks. TARP III creates more regulation, particularly with the 1099 fiasco, while at the same time allows for less oversight of how the $42 billion will be administered."

Labrador concluded, "My Democrat opponent voted for TARP III and I would have voted against it."
