Blog: An End to Recovery Summer

Statement

Date: Sept. 22, 2010

Today marks the first day of Fall and an end to Summer. We were promised by the Obama Administration and the Pelosi led Democrats in Congress that this would be the "Recovery Summer" for our nation's economy.

"With the end of "Recovery Summer' finally here, we have seen once again the failed leadership of the Democrats in Congress and the Obama Administration. Unemployment has risen over the summer months, the manufacturing sector lost jobs for the first time all year, and our economy's GDP is slowly grinding to a halt once again. With over two-thirds of all Stimulus funds spent, we have more proof that it has failed and Washington, D.C. has failed us. It is time to send our commonsense Hoosier values to Washington, D.C. We don't need my opponent, a career politician that has supported job-killing legislation as a State Rep. in Indianapolis, that will do nothing more than serve as a rubber stamp to the Obama/Pelosi agenda."
