Congressman Crawford Votes for Ryan Budget

Statement

Date: April 15, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Rick Crawford (R-Ark.) today released the following statement regarding his support for Chairman Paul Ryan's (R-Wis.) Fiscal Year 2012 Budget:

"I cast my vote today in support of Chairman Ryan's Budget because Congress has kicked the can down the road for too long. It was not an easy vote to cast, but we need to quit mortgaging our children's future and give them the fiscally stable country they deserve. The chairman's budget reflects the urgency to get America back on sound fiscal footing. The budget addresses issues that Washington has refused to deal with for decades, for fear of political retribution. Today we address those issues because it is the responsible thing to do."

Congressman Rick Crawford is the first Republican elected to represent Arkansas's First Congressional District since Reconstruction. He serves on the Agriculture and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. Rick and his wife Stacy, both ASU alumni, reside in Jonesboro with their two children.
