Representative Xavier Becerra (CA-31), Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, released the following statement today on the resignation of Congressman Anthony Weiner (NY-09):

"Anthony has made the right choice for the good of his family, his constituents and this institution.

It's unfortunate where this road has taken Anthony. He has been a fighter for so many important issues and causes on behalf of the American people. I know he'll fight hard to get back on track."
