Congressman Dan Benishek (MI-01) today released the following statement:
"I voted for this bill to send a signal to this Administration that Congress is serious about ending the President's war in Libya.
It is my belief that the majority of the people I represent in Northern Michigan do not want America involved in the civil wars of other countries, especially when our vital interests are not threatened.
I hope to continue working with my colleagues--on a bipartisan basis--to see U.S. military action ends in a prompt and responsible manner."
