Blog: 9/11 - We Will Never Forget

September 11th -- those two words stand on their own. The range of thoughts and emotions brought forward from them are unique for each and every American, and we are all united in remembering those who lost their lives on that fateful day 10 years ago.

While the world has changed in countless ways over the course of the past decade, one thing has not -- the unwavering American spirit. The heroic actions taken by so many first responders and everyday citizens on September 11, 2001, embody the strength, courage and determination which define that spirit. Out of tragedy came a renewed regard for the well-being of our fellow Americans -- those we know and hold dear as well as those who are little more than a nameless face we pass without notice.

As we reflect on the thousands who perished on 9/11 and cherish their memory, let's offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to those who protect us at home and abroad. Our first responders and all men and women who serve in uniform have proven time and again that they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our safety and security. For that we can never fully repay them, and will keep them in our prayers every day.
