Whereas, I believe in fiscal discipline and that government should not pose an unnecessary burden on teaxpayers; and,

Whereas, I believe that government should not grow faster than population and inflation; and,

Whereas, I believe that government should be accountable to the people;

I support the following principles:

Annual spending growth, on all levels, should be limited to the rate of population growth and inflation.

Excess revenues collected above this limit should be used to create Emergency and Budget Stabilization funds and when fully funded, additional funds should be refunded to taxpayers through tax cuts.

Moreover, tax and spending increases must be approved by the people's vote or a legislative supermajority.

Therefore, I Michael Truncale pledge to Defend the American Dream.
