In March, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs abruptly cancelled the construction of veterans' health clinics in Southwest Louisiana because of technical errors made by the VA. As a veteran who has 4 veterans on my staff, I know that we should honor our American heroes with the care they deserve. So I have pressed the VA for an expedited, transparent process moving forward. And I have called on the VA to look at all options available, including using available existing facilities and utilizing the sole source procurement process, so our veterans get the care and clinics they deserve as quickly as possible.
