Fighting for Debt Reduction

Statement

While American families and small businesses have been struggling -- cutting family budgets and making tough business decisions -- the Washington politicians in Congress have unfortunately continued to feed their addiction to spending. This is wrong and I am committed to doing all I can to end wasteful government spending and reduce the debt. In fact, I recently led an effort of conservative freshmen members of Congress in requesting Speaker Boehner to direct our nearly $1.5 million of unused office funds to immediately pay down the national debt. And while some may think $1.5 million is a drop in the bucket, I think it is a great start to solving the problem.
