Currently, 48 million textbooks are distributed annually by the Texas Education Agency. With changes due to Senate Bill 6, there will be a shift to local control. However, I strongly believe that SBOE textbook adoptions will still play a major role in making sure instructional materials are accurate in both content and perspective.
