Location: Marion, IL
Issues: Women

Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO) joined Jason Plummer, Republican nominee for Illinois' 12th Congressional District, as he unveiled his Women's Coalition on June 11 in Marion.

"It's an honor to have Congresswoman Emerson join me today as I introduce my Women's Coalition," Plummer said. "Congresswoman Emerson has been a strong conservative voice for the Midwest for years, and I look forward to working along with her in the future."

Plummer's coalition is made up of women from across the 12th Congressional District who support his positions on federal issues. County Chairwomen, elected officials, and other local and community leaders are among those on his Women's Coalition.

"Right now, federal policies are playing critical roles in the lives of women across the United States. As Congressman, I will work to ensure government stays out of their day-to-day lives," Plummer said. "Women across Southern Illinois are concerned about the health care their families receive and the jobs available for their children as they enter the workforce, and I will fight to make sure that quality health care and jobs are available. I truly appreciate the support from so many of the great women leaders from the 12th District."

As a community leader and businessman, Jason Plummer serves his country as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Naval Reserves and works in his community as Vice President of Corporate Development at R.P. Lumber Company, a family-owned and operated business that, along with other Plummer family businesses, is involved in creating and maintaining more than 1,000 quality jobs. In his community, Plummer has coached youth sports and been involved in other civic organizations, such as currently serving on the Executive Board of the Lewis & Clark Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
