Date: Jan. 1, 2012

As a family farmer and entrepreneur, Ed Goodwin has the experience and expertise to create jobs. Having been involved in the creation of four small businesses, he recognizes the correlation between getting government out of the way and job growth.

North Carolina needs to be a state in which the business climate propels existing businesses and attracts new ones. Our current corporate taxes and government regulations are resulting in lost opportunities to attract new business and expand current ones. By lowering the tax rate and reducing the role of government, companies will be allowed to flourish.

Ed believes in less government regulation over the private sector and will work hard to get the government out of the way. He knows how important small businesses are to North Carolina's economy and will fight to support our private sector and get people working again.
