Issue Position

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.*" The right to bear arms is a clear and necessary part of our constitution that must be protected. Texas, because of its size and conservative values, is the state that must lead the effort to protect this right. This is a right that I personally enjoy when I go hunting with my boys, but also a right that we are all entitled to as a means to protect the safety of ourselves and those we love.
