Issue Position

Scott believes in the sanctity of life. An unborn life is still a life. Scott will always support legislation protecting the rights of the unborn on the behalf of the citizens of the 158th district. While some argue that children who would otherwise be aborted are going to be born into unsavory family situations, that argument is not acceptable to Scott. Some of the world's greatest minds came from disadvantaged situations. However, Scott does acknowledge that many children are growing up with unbearable home lives. Therefore, Scott will fight for improvements in the Division of Family Services and to make changes for the better for disadvantaged children. Additionally, Scott will work to reduce the red tape involved in adoption, so that children have a greater opportunity to be placed in a home with parents who will help them develop as productive citizens in the future.
