Issue Position

I am strongly pro-life. In America, with an estimated 1 million babies aborted each year (which is about one-third of all the babies born in America), being pro-life requires more than just being anti-abortion. My pro-life principles make me a strong supporter of abstinence education to help reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies among our nation's teens. I am also a strong supporter of adoption programs to ensure that all children are wanted and loved. The mothers who are aborting these babies clearly do not love these children; therefore, we must be ready and willing to care for all children in our homes and communities.

What has become of our culture that we allow for the killing of unborn human babies yet jail our citizens for the destruction of a bald eagle or loggerhead turtle eggs? We cannot rely on Washington, D.C., to provide answers. We must find them and implement them right here at home.
