Our local economy is underperforming. According to the Mount Auburn Study, "Fall River's workforce is caught in a vicious cycle. High- skilled knowledge-based jobs are unlikely to locate in the region in large numbers until the overall skill level of the population increases. Residents feel less incentive to strive for skills development or educational achievement given that there are few opportunities locally. The young population that does pursue college education is unlikely to stay in the region given the lack of jobs."

We must build a high-performance workforce development system capable of effectively meeting the needs of employers and workers across the spectrum, targeting industries strategically.

As your Representative, I can work to enhance our city's infrastructure and support new facilities. We must

- Attract Bioscience Firms
- Build Food Sector through Attraction and Entrepreneurship
- Support Regional Expansion of Distribution Activity
- Target IT-enabled Business Facilities
