My roots are firmly planted in rural Montana and there's nothing I enjoy more than going home to my family's place in Eastern Montana to help out every summer. Agriculture and natural resources are the backbone of our State's economy, and as Attorney General and a member of the State Land Board, I will support responsible development of Montana's natural resource wealth. I know that we can protect our precious environment while creating good-paying jobs and generating more money for our public schools.

I strongly oppose efforts by special interest groups to completely shut down resource development through lawsuit abuse and political pressure. I'm a dedicated conservationist in the true sense of the word, and I know we can't waste what we have--we need to leave clean land, water, and air for today's generations, and for generations to come. But we can't waste our resources by needlessly locking them away either. As Montana's next Attorney General, I'll bring people together to find positive common sense solutions so that Montana's natural resources are utilized, the environment is protected, jobs are created, and we leave Montana in better shape that we found it.
