Rothfus Votes for Solutions to Stop Government Abuse

Washington, D.C. -- Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement after voting for the Stop Government Abuse legislative package:

"The House this week took important steps to rein in an out-of-touch federal government, make Washington, D.C. more accountable, and empower the American people," said Rothfus. "There are too many recent examples of regulatory elites who do not understand the impact of their actions and of others who have abused their power. Appropriate checks and balances must be restored and the Senate should act quickly to send these bills to President Obama for his signature."

H.R. 2009, Keep the IRS off Your Healthcare Act, passed in the House by a bipartisan 232-185 vote.

H.R. 2879, Stop Government Abuse Act, passed in the House by a bipartisan 239-176 vote.
