Merv will fight to:

- Lower the tax burden and promote tax fairness
- Eliminate wasteful spending and needless duplication
- Create jobs to keep our children and grandchildren in Nebraska
- Contain growth of entitlement spending
- Get tough on crime--reform good-time laws and deal wit prison overcrowding
- Support school boards, teachers and parents with measurable standards and state aid that is fair and stable
- Address pension reform and reduce underfunding
- Provide realistic and efficient healthcare reform
