Issue Position

We need good jobs with living wages and our young people need strong programs to become prepared to enter all segments of our workforce. I will fight to:

*Increase the State Minimum Wage: Keep wages, including those for tipped workers, in line with the rising cost of living, so that everyone can make ends met.
*
Strengthen Training Programs: Invest in education to prepare graduates for existing jobs in the workforce and union apprenticeships in the skilled trades.

*Protect Workers' Rights: Advocate for paid sick leave for workers and repealing Right to Work for Less.

*Foster Economic Growth: Support business incubators, small business consulting and training programs.

*Promote Community Benefits: Support community benefit coalitions so new development projects work with residents on jobs, environmental protections, and displacement. Explore state policy options to promote community benefit agreements.
