Issues: Senior Citizens Unemployed and Low-Income Entitlements and the Safety Net Taxes Housing and Property

We cannot let the wealthy become wealthier while the poor become poorer. We need to support our middle-class families and ensure that the most vulnerable in our communities have what they need to thrive. I will fight to:

*Protect our Seniors: Defend elders from fraud while repealing the Snyder pension tax, which takes hard earned money out of the hands of seniors.

*Restore the Earned Income Tax Credit: Strengthen this effective & proven anti-poverty toll that puts money in the pockets of working families.

*Reverse State Assistance Cuts: Work with state colleagues to replenish funding for food, childcare, unemployment and other benefits in Michigan.

*Ensure access to housing: Increase affordable housing options in the district and help residents fight foreclosure through our neighborhood service center.
