You must live on what you make and government should as well. Your family is often forced to make tough choices (do we keep the cable? Do we repair the car or get a new one?) and your state should do the same and not ask the tax payers for more each year.

I voted NO on the General Budget this year because it counted on $51 million of additional marijuana tax revenue that we currently have no way to track or collect and additional increased fees.

I was able to support the House Capital Budget because it was only a small adjustment to our overall outlook, it would have brought $1 million to the Spokane Valley to complete the Spokane Valley Tech project and left a small contingency fund without raising additional taxes.
