Texas leads America in energy production, but the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has painted a bulls eye on our back. Whether they're suing to limit power generation, enacting draconian restrictions on Texas businesses or undermining an innovative emission control program that has cleaned up Texas air, the EPA has been no friend to Texas.

The Comptroller plays a vital role in protecting Texas energy jobs, serving as the presiding officer of the Interagency Task Force on Economic Growth and Endangered Species. President Obama, using the Endangered Species Act (ESA), is attempting to shut down Texas' Oil & Gas Industry. Glenn Hegar will continue to stand up for the Texas economy by rejecting Washington's one-size-fits-all solutions in favor of sensible approaches that create and protect jobs while preserving the state's natural beauty.
