Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (NY-4) Announces Ametek Grant in Support of V-22 Helicopter

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy is pleased to announce the Hughes-Treitler location of Ametek Aerospace and Defense, in Garden City, has been awarded an $8,973,777.38 grant in support of the V-22 Osprey Helicopter.

"Small businesses and entrepreneurs are the engine of our economy on Long Island and we must do all we can to help them grow and prosper," Rep. McCarthy said. "The V-22 Osprey is an important asset to our armed forces and I am pleased that Ametek Hughes-Treitler has been able to contribute key components to this program. Military contracts are extremely competitive and this award underscores the quality work being done at Ametek Hughes-Treitler."

Ametek Hughes-Treitler, located in Garden City, employs 150 Long Islanders, and is the world's foremost supplier of Compact Plate-Fin Heat Exchangers and Surface Coolers.
