Lois believes that the right to keep and bear arms exists to protect all of our other rights. The Second Amendment is spelled out clearly in the Constitution, but she know that fact doesn't stop the gun-grabbers from trying their best to overturn it. As your State Senator, she will work hard to protect our gun rights at every turn. She and her family are proud and unapologetic gun-owners. As a lawmaker, Lois often collaborated with groups like the National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association, and Texas Wildlife Association each legislative session in Austin. Lois voted to curb federal threats to the Second Amendment in Texas by prohibiting the enforcement and funding of federal gun control measures. She has also streamlined the process Texans go through to earn their Concealed Handgun License (CHL). As a lifelong hunter, of course Lois has a pro-gun voting record, and she's personally worked for years with the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, our leading wildlife researchers in Texas.
