Following the release of President Barack Obama's budget for Fiscal Year 2016, Congressman Dan Benishek (MI-01) released the statement below:
"I have called on the President to work more closely with America's new Congress on policies that improve the lives of hardworking families. I do not believe, however, that the President's Washington-centered, tax and spend approach will create jobs and get people back to work. I look forward to working with my colleagues in Congress to craft a budget that responsibly manages our debt and deficit while still funding the critical services that families, seniors, and veterans in Northern Michigan depend on every day."
