Statement

Date: Nov. 7, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) released the following statement regarding the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) publication of its draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal:

"This positive environmental review proves we can move forward with the Jordan Cove LNG export project while protecting our environment. We are now one step closer to creating more jobs and exporting Rocky Mountain natural gas to international markets. It's great news for Wyoming, Indian tribes, our economy and allies who are desperate to buy U.S. natural gas. FERC should now complete its final review as soon as possible so this important energy project can become a reality."
